The annual subscription to join the Bliss FHS is currently £7 for Uk members or £10 for overseas members (the extra charge is to cover the extra airmail cost for sending the magazine overseas). The Society issues two editions of the BLISS Magazine to all members each year in June and December. We believe BLISS is one of the best FH publications. Production standards are high, allowing the wide range of articles to be read with pleasure and comfort.
All members are welcomed to the Annual Reunion of the Bliss FHS. This has
always been held in England but we might spread our wings in the future!
This year's reunion
Members are invited to make use of the Bliss Genealogical Data Base (BGDB) and other genealogical material in the Societyby consulting with The Records Secretary and Editor. The BGDB includes all Blisses found in the complete Census Series of Blisses in England and Wales 1851 to 1901. The 1841 Census should also be completed by Autumn 2006. We also hold thousands of extracts of Bliss family events from parish registers in many English counties, entries from Trade and Post Office Directories and many other sources- 28,000 Bliss records and growing each month. In addition to the BGDB we hold a complete index to Bliss birth registrations in England and Wales 1837-1921, marriage registrations 1837-1904 and deaths 1837-1925.
We also possess the three volume Genealogy of the Bliss Family in America, which the chairman or N. American secretary will consult for lookups requested by members.
